The continuing-time mailing list has been in existence since October of 1993. We now have archives available of the various list discussions current up to around Sep 1998.
The mailing list was created by Sol Foster, and is maintained by him and Charles Clark. Thanks guys!
Please note that these files have been heavily edited by me (David Silberstein). Messages which were of minimal relevance (book offers, book requests, administrivia, time-dependant, blatantly off-topic or stupid (and so on)) were chopped out. Signature trailers were snipped and paragraphs that were extremely ugly were reformatted. If you have a problem with this, take it up with me.
Daniel Keys Moran joined the mailing list in December of 1994.
Don't let that stop you from downloading earlier stuff,
which is still pretty interesting. Most messages from DKM
himself are still in the logs, but the very long story fragments
and speeches were extracted and can be found elsewhere on the
web pages.
If it's not in here, it's is probably out there.
The messages in each logfile are separated with line which is standard for Unix hosts, thus allowing them to be read properly by email programs such as Pine. This will probably not work with all email programs, but try it and see.
If you want to, you may also try Sol's archives. While they only run to Aug 1996, they have all the stuff that I took out, and are formatted differently. In addition, if you really, really want to see the raw archives, you can request them from Ralf the Wise and Powerful, the majordomo server handling the continug-time mailing list. Here's the instructions for sending the request. Note that this option is really for current listmembers.
